When did you first hear of SurfSkate style?

It was when I watched The Endless Summer by Bruce Brown. I remember thinking Mickey Dora had the most recognizable surf style from that movie.

What does SurfSkate style mean to you?

It’s an expression of one’s individuality through surfing or skating. SurfSkate style is like a fingerprint, no two are alike.

Who has the best SurfSkate style?

My favorites of surfing and skating are Christian Fletcher, Greyson Fletcher, Jay Adams, Buttons Kaluhiokalani, Tom Curren, Rob Machado, Kyle Yanagimoto and Braden Dias, just to name a few.

How has surfing influenced skateboarding and skating influenced surfing?

Too much to list, although I do believe surfing influenced skateboarding much more in the beginning than it does nowadays.

Is SurfSkate style important today?

That’s like asking if the composition of a painting matters. Of course, it does. It makes it more pleasing to the eye. If a surfer/skateboarder has bad style, it isn’t as pleasing to watch. I’d rather watch a low skill level with great style than a high skill level with bad style, any day of the week.
