The show was sold out for the Venice, California, screening of “Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, D.C.” hosted by the C.A.V.E. Gallery on April 3, 2015, at Beyond Baroque. Guests of honor, Chuck Dukowski [Black Flag, Wurm, SWA, October Faction, The Chuck Dukowski Sextet, FLAG] author of one of the best Black Flag songs ever written, “My War”, and Louiche Mayorga [Suicidal Tendencies, Los Cycos, Horny Toad, Uncle Slam, Agony, AgainST, Beowulf, Luicidal] co-writer of one of the fastest Suicidal Tendencies songs ever. “Institutionalized”, were both in attendance and gave their take on the D.C. hardcore scene to introduce the film.

This past Friday night, April 10, 2015, Brian Simmons of Atomic Action Records & AS220 hosted the screening of Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, D.C. – Shawn Brown (Dag Nasty, Swiz, Red Hare) was hanging out, cool as ever. Big Mouth & Sweet Jesus played after. How can you not like this movie? Dischord Records, D.C. hardcore.. Any 3 fans out there?
Big Mouth were killer. Sweet Jesus (members of Dropdead & Have Heart) were killer too. Shawn Brown went up and sang a couple of Dag Nasty songs and a Swiz song with them. Have to admit… got a few goose bumps…
