Fullerton, CA, played host to the Ol 84 film entitled ‘Rust Never Sleeps’ filmed, directed, and edited by Pat Myers. The opening band Scarlet Fever got the crowd pretty amped as Ol 84 team riders, John Ponts, Al Partanen, and Wee Man mingled with the crowd before show time. An eye-gluing opening sequence with creative line art animation got everyone amped and ready to see more. The Ol 84 team is deep in talent and every rider’s part showed the gnarly skaters that they are. The montage with Ted Nugent is completely entrancing and gut ripping at the same time. As the video ended the crowd roared and the drinks kept flowing. There were no limos or bight lights. No one felt like they were being force fed any marketing schemes. It was a great premiere. Props go out to Shannon and Pat for making another classic skate film. The only person missing at the premiere was Neil Heddings. His part in the video was the sickest. Free Neil!
