The LA Skate Film Festival awards show took place at The Independent Theater in Los Angeles, CA on September 2, 2010 with photos by Dan Levy and Vanessa Davey. Congratulations to Craig Stecyk III who was awarded an honorary tribute by the L.A. Skate Film Festival for all his Herculean efforts, inspiration and creativity. Stecyk set the bar with the highest standards possible for skateboard film making into the future. Congrats C.R.! Stecyk took home an invisible Lifetime Acheivement Award and good vibes, while the film festival’s category winners took home Kevin Ancell designed skate deck trophies. VIPs in attendance included Suzanne Melanie Berry, Jeff Ho, Justin Regan, Steve Olson, Terri Craft, Garwth Stehr, Patrick Melcher, Dan Levy, Paul Constantineau, Bryce Kanights, Geoff Rowley, Jamie Thomas, Matt Myerson, Cookiehead Jenkins, J. Grant Brittain, Vanessa Davey, Laura Thornhill, Curren Caples and Louie Lopez. Machotaildrop took home top honors featuring a cameo appearance by the legendary skate/art/film icon Steve Olson. This was a really cool film festival put together by some very cool folks. Thanks to the founder of the LASFF, Fabrice LeMao, for all the hospitality and hard work. We’re all looking forward to the next festival.
