Jonny Manak and The Depressives New LP and Music Video: “Anybody Wanna Skate”

Jonny Manak and The Depressives have a new album titled “Anybody Wanna Skate” coming out on God’s Candy Records and you can pre-order the vinyl and limited edition punk point skateboards now at https://jonnymanak.bigcartel.com/ .

The band filmed the music video for the title track “Anybody Wanna Skate” at Lake Cunningham Skate Park in San Jose and features skating by Jonny Manak, his 6-year-old son Jonny Danger and park locals known as the “9 O’Clock Crew.”

If you appreciate authentic skate rock with a fierce sense of humor brought to you by legitimate skateboarding rockers, get this record now. “Anybody Wanna Skate” will provide the required supersonic jet fuel for a skate session with the crew, while bringing fond memories and power riffs reminiscent of The Ramones and the beloved Buzzcocks. “Surfing Swami” is an instant classic reminding us of the Surfer Stomp days of Dick Dale. The ode to Lemmy Kilmister, “70s Too Young For Lemmy To Die” is a proper power rock tribute to the dark knight.

This new LP has everything you need and more, recorded in the garage and “mastered in organic analog glory” with an album cover adorned by classic concrete ripping artwork by Riccardo Bucchioni. The “Anybody Wanna Skate” LP is a must-have collection of garage punk chaos complete with over-the-top coping-slashing skate-rock grit. Available in your choice of black, yellow/red splatter, and white/blue/glow in the dark splatter vinyl.

The 12” LP on splatter multicolor vinyl and limited punk point skate decks are available now at https://jonnymanakthedepressives.bandcamp.com

The band will be playing Karman Bar in Laguna Niguel, California on Friday, June 7th and The Tower Bar in San Diego on Saturday, June 8th.
