The Cape Fear Clean Water Classic Surf Festival (www.cfcleanh2oclassic.com), sponsored by Redsand (www.redsand.com), the Cape Fear Chapter and UNCW Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation (www.surfrider.org/capefear), ran in solid surf conditions brought on by the passing of Tropical Storm Tammy on Saturday, October 8 and 9, 2005. The event drew a large crowd on both days. Contributing Sponsors of the Event were K38, Coke, DaKine, Eastern Skate and Surf Supply, UNCW Surf Club, Thomas Cone Design, AVAlive, Copper by Cooter and Yondershore Web Design.
