THE SHRINE DOES VENICE

The Townhouse, Venice, CA

The Shrine brought it back to their roots in Venice Beach where the legendary speakeasy, The Townhouse, played host to a night of pure sludge rock and skateboarding mayhem. The masterminds behind Six Stair, Buddy Nichols and Rick Charnoski were on hand to show a movie of throwaway footage and seconds, which was better than most non-throwaway videos being shown currently. Don Nguyen and Justin Roy, otherwise known as the LSDj’s, handled the warm-up before The Shrine took the stage with an amazing set, while the Six Stair movie was playing. The Shrine hit the stage with a vengeance and from the first note, literally pushed the crowd back with their ferocious sound. If you could bottle up the energy in the crowd, it would be enough to power a small city for a night. Check out some of the highlights below.
