Skateboarding is not considered a traditional sport by its core, however it celebrates tradition like no other. We celebrate the differences in each other and are thankful that we are all in the tour van together. We literally ride until the wheels fall off and pain is not a deterrent; rather an unwavering reminder that we are alive. It is not just about falling and getting up. It’s about getting shit from your friends while falling down and grabbing their helping hand on the way back up. This is the essence of skateboarding. There is no better place to witness this force than at the Vans Pool Party. This year some of the most iconic and legendary skaters from the 60’s, 70’s, 80′, and 90’s were on hand to witness the new crop of rippers stake their claim. Thank you skateboarding.
