Their debut LP, Songs The Lord Taught Us<\/em><\/strong>, dropped in 1980 and effectively entrenched them at the forefront of the underground as a game-changing force. Indicative of its lasting imprint on punk music and culture, it has generated over 100 million streams and counting fueled by the likes of \u201cFever<\/strong>,\u201d<\/strong> \u201cTV Set<\/strong>,\u201d <\/strong>and \u201cGarbageman<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> Stereogum<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>pegged the latter at #1 on its \u201cThe 10 Best <\/em>Cramps<\/em><\/strong> Songs<\/em>,\u201d<\/em> proceeding to add, \u201cThroughout their career, <\/em>The Cramps<\/em><\/strong> stressed that rock \u2018n\u2019 roll was not simply a style of music, but a lifestyle. <\/em>\u2018Garbageman\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>encapsulates the classic sex, drugs, and rock \u2018n\u2019 roll<\/em>.\u201d <\/em>Meanwhile, the signature \u201cI Was A Teenage Werewolf\u201d<\/strong> has gathered north of 24.9 million Spotify streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
