Hey. Are you getting ready for school?<\/strong>
\nYeah.<\/p>\n

How are you doing in school?<\/strong>
\nGood.<\/p>\n

What grade are you in?<\/strong>
\nEighth.<\/p>\n

How do you like your teachers?<\/strong>
\nThey\u2019re all pretty nice.<\/p>\n

I saw your full page photo in Surfer magazine. Did that change anything for you?<\/strong>
\nIn what perspective?<\/p>\n

Are you more popular with the girls now?<\/strong>
\n[Laughs] I\u2019ve always been popular with the girls.<\/p>\n

[Laughs] I figured as much. When did you start surfing?<\/strong>
\nWhen I was three.<\/p>\n

Who made your first surfboard?<\/strong>
\nI got it from John John. I don\u2019t know where John John got it. I got his old board when he got a new one.<\/p>\n

You got the hand-me-downs. You can talk to big Nathan [Fletcher] about that, huh?<\/strong>
\n[Laughs] Yeah.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite break?<\/strong>
\nPupukea and Pipe.<\/p>\n

Where are your favorite places to skate?<\/strong>
\nI like Hawaii kai in town and Steve\u2019s bowl on the North Shore.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve skated in a lot of different places all over the world. How was it to skate in Scotland?<\/strong>
\nIt was really good. That\u2019s one of my favorite places, too.<\/p>\n

Have you been surfing a quad?<\/strong>
\nI have a quad, but I haven\u2019t been surfing lately. I\u2019ve just been skateboarding. The waves have been super flat.<\/p>\n

What do you see in the tube?<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s like a perfect little blue room with a window.<\/p>\n

What do you hear?<\/strong>
\n\u201cCrrrrsssh\u201d and then a big crash.<\/p>\n

Who are your favorite surfers?<\/strong>
\nI like my mom, Nathan [Fletcher], Christian [Fletcher], Tom Curren, Matt Archbold, Kelly Slater, and Andy and Bruce Irons.<\/p>\n
