Hey, John John. This is Dibi. How are you?<\/strong>
\nHi, Dib.<\/p>\n

Sorry, I had to call you so early. I know you’re getting ready for school.<\/strong>
\nThat’s okay. It’s cool.<\/p>\n

What grade are you in?<\/strong>
\nI’m in tenth grade.<\/p>\n

How are you doing in school?<\/strong>
\nI’m doing good.<\/p>\n

What music have you been listening to lately?<\/strong>
\nI’ve been listening to a lot of Black Sabbath, Guns N Roses, the Misfits and stuff.<\/p>\n

Do you listen to different music before you go skating than you do surfing?<\/strong>
\nBefore I go skate, I listen to Motorhead.<\/p>\n

[Laughs] Uh, yeah. You listen to Motorhead before you do anything, huh?<\/strong>
\n[Laughs] Yeah.<\/p>\n

What else you been listening to?<\/strong>
\nI’ve been listening to a lot of Johnny Cash and Elvis.<\/p>\n

How old were you when you started surfing?<\/strong>
\nI was about two and a half.<\/p>\n

Who made your first surfboard?<\/strong>
\nI don’t know.<\/p>\n

Who makes your board now?<\/strong>
\nI have a mixture of boards. John Pyzel has been shaping boards for me. I also have a Mayhem.<\/p>\n

What do you think about double grab airs?<\/strong>
\nI don’t know. They’re cool, I guess, as long as you hang in the air. Some people say it’s cheating.<\/p>\n

What do you think?<\/strong>
\nIt’s kind of cheating, but not really. You’re still getting in the air.<\/p>\n

As long as you get air, that’s all that matters?<\/strong>
\nKinda, yeah.<\/p>\n

What kind of skateboard are you riding?<\/strong>
\nAnti-Hero.<\/p>\n

What’s your favorite place to skate?<\/strong>
\nI like to skate at Steve’s bowl, Hickam or Graveside. We went to Graveside yesterday and that was really fun.<\/p>\n

Didn’t you skate Scotland recently?<\/strong>
\nYeah, I went to Scotland and that place is so fun. There are such good skateparks there.<\/p>\n

How was the surf?<\/strong>
\nThe surf was actually really fun.<\/p>\n

Did you see any ghosts?<\/strong>
\nNo, but I felt like they were around. A couple of times the TV turned on and off and stuff like that.<\/p>\n

The people over there talk about seeing them all the time, huh?<\/strong>
\n[Laughs] Yeah.<\/p>\n

[Laughs] What is it like going skating with your mom?<\/strong>
\nI like skating with my mom because she’s always trying to push me. We have fun. She can skate really good and get grinds and stuff.<\/p>\n

Do you drop in on her?<\/strong>
\nYeah.<\/p>\n

Do you drop in on your brothers?<\/strong>
\nYeah.<\/p>\n

Do they drop in on you?<\/strong>
\n[Laughs] Yeah.<\/p>\n

What happens in the line up if some kook drops in on somebody at Pipe?<\/strong>
\nThey either get slapped by one of the boys or told to go home and never come back.<\/p>\n
