Beastie Boys ‘Paul\u2019s Boutique’ 30th anniversary is being celebrated with the release of 21 rare remixes and B-Sides: \u2018An Exciting Evening At Home With Shadrach, Meshach And Abednego,\u2019 the \u2018Love American Style EP,\u2019 plus remixes of \u201cHey Ladies,\u201d \u201cShadrach,\u201d \u201cShake Your Rump\u201d and \u201cLooking Down The Barrel Of A Gun\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 25th marks the 30th<\/sup> anniversary of the Beastie Boys\u2019 1989 landmark second album Paul\u2019s Boutique<\/em><\/strong>. To celebrate, 21 rare remixes and B-sides will be released digitally for the first time over the course of a month-long celebration. The EPs An Exciting Evening At Home With Shadrach, Meshach And Abednego<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>and the Love American Style EP<\/em><\/strong><\/a> will be released today, July 19th<\/sup>. Remixes of the singles \u201cHey Ladies<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cShadrach<\/strong>\u201d are available on July 26th<\/sup> and remix versions of \u201cShake Your Rump<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cLooking Down The Barrel Of A Gun<\/strong>\u201d will be released on August 2nd<\/sup>.

Recorded in Los Angeles with a sample-based Dust Brothers production that would be impossible in today\u2019s legal\/financial world, Paul\u2019s Boutique<\/em><\/strong>, marked a giant creative leap forward for Adrock, Mike D and MCA. They finally had the freedom to write and record without outside input or interference, a creative path that would continue to grow and flourish throughout their career. Ranking high on lists including Pitchfork\u2019s \u201cTop 100 Albums of the 1980s,\u201d Time Magazine\u2019s \u201c100 Greatest Albums of All TIME\u201d and Rolling Stone\u2019s \u201cRolling Stone\u2019s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time,\u201d Paul\u2019s Boutique <\/em><\/strong>went on to sell over 2 million albums. Paul\u2019s Boutique<\/em><\/strong> is considered an essential, genre-redefining hip-hop classic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
