BUILT TO SPILL TO RELEASE NEW STUDIO ALBUM, UNTETHERED MOON<\/i>, DIGITALLY AND ON CD AND VINYL IN APRIL<\/b><\/p>\n

Untethered Moon<\/i><\/b> is the first BTS<\/b> album recorded with new band members Steve Gere<\/b> (drums) and Jason Albertini<\/b> (bass), who join vocalist\/guitarist Doug Martsch<\/b> and guitarists Brett Netson<\/b> and Jim Roth<\/b>. BTS<\/b> have also confirmed tour dates which include this year\u2019s Coachella<\/b> Arts And Music Festival<\/b><\/span><\/a> in Indio, CA.\u00a0 Please see below for all confirmed tour dates.<\/p>\n

Untethered Moon<\/i><\/b> was produced by Martsch<\/b> and Sam Coomes<\/b>. One half of Quasi<\/span><\/a>, Coomes is also a session musician who has performed on albums by Sleater-Kinney and Elliot Smith, and has appeared on every Built To Spill<\/b> album after the band\u2019s 1997 major-label debut Perfect From Now On<\/i><\/b>.<\/p>\n

Built to Spill<\/b> released its most recent album <\/i>There Is No Enemy<\/i><\/b> in October 2009. It was the band’s first album since 2006’s You In Reverse<\/i><\/b>. Previous studio albums include 2001’s <\/i>Ancient Melodies of the Future<\/i><\/b>, 1999’s <\/i>Keep It Like A Secret<\/i><\/b> and Perfect From Now On<\/i><\/b>. In 2015, Built to Spill<\/b> remains an influential concern in compositionally intelligent, lyrically thoughtful, melodic, guitar-centric rock music.<\/p>\n
