Two of the world\u2019s most respected and influential hard rock bands Mastodon<\/b><\/span><\/a> and Clutch<\/b><\/span><\/a> <\/b>are proud to announce THE MISSING LINK TOUR<\/b> which brings together both bands as they join forces along with special guests Graveyard<\/b><\/span><\/a> <\/b>and <\/b>Big Business<\/b><\/span><\/a> <\/b>\u2013 each taking part of the tour as support. <\/b>Together, this night of heavy rock <\/b>will be one of the heaviest and most exciting concert events of the year.<\/p>\n

THE MISSING LINK TOUR<\/b> kicks off on April 16<\/span>\u00a0in St. Paul, MN. with support provided by Big Business<\/b><\/span><\/a>, who recently supported Mastodon<\/b> throughout a sold-out European tour. Sweden\u2019s\u00a0 Graveyard<\/b><\/span><\/a> will then take over the main support slot starting in Los Angeles on April 29<\/span>\u00a0for the remaining dates, closing out the tour in Columbus, OH on May 24<\/span>.\u00a0 Tickets are on sale now.<\/p>\n

Mastodon<\/b> and Clutch<\/b> share a longtime friendship as fans will recall Clutch front man Neil Fallon contributed vocals to \u201cBlood And Thunder\u201d <\/b>(from Mastodon\u2019s<\/b> 2004\u2019s Leviathan<\/i><\/b>) so fans can expect surprises in store for fans throughout the tour rumbling across North America. THE MISSING LINK TOUR<\/b> will feature full sets<\/b> from both Mastodon<\/b> and Clutch. Clutch <\/b>will close the show on <\/b>April 24\u00a0in Vancouver, May 10\u00a0in Pittsburgh, May 15\u00a0in Bethlehem,\u00a0 May 16\u00a0in Baltimore and also the final night of the tour,\u00a0 May 24\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/span>in Columbus. As previously announced, Mastodon <\/b>have been nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award<\/b> for Best Metal Performance <\/i><\/b>for \u201cHigh Road<\/span><\/a>,\u201d from ONCE MORE \u2018ROUND THE SUN<\/i><\/b>. This is the band\u2019s third Grammy nomination. \u00a0The 57tb<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Annual Grammy Awards<\/span><\/a> will be held in Los Angeles on Feb 8<\/span>.<\/span> Tune into CBS TV.<\/p>\n

Revered Maryland rockers\u00a0Clutch<\/b>\u00a0have been pushing the boundaries that define heavy rock music since the 4\u00a0original\u00a0members got together in high school. Clutch<\/b> is an unmatched musical force that\u00a0has been best\u00a0described as \u201cthe\u00a0quintessential American Rock Band\u201d. Clutch\u00a0<\/b>released their tenth and latest studio album\u00a0Earth Rocker<\/i><\/b> via their own label Weathermaker Music<\/span><\/a> on\u00a0March 16, 2013. The album entered the\u00a0Billboard\u00a0Top 200 chart\u00a0at\u00a0#15\u00a0giving the band their highest chart position to date.<\/p>\n

Mastodon\u2019s<\/b> sixth studio album, <\/i><\/b>the universally praised, ONCE MORE \u2018ROUND THE SUN<\/i><\/b>, entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at the #6 position on June 24, 2014, also their highest chart debut of their career.\u00a0 ONCE MORE \u2018ROUND THE SUN<\/i><\/b> has rightfully been placed in many Year End Critics & fan BEST OF 2014 lists including those in Rolling Stone<\/i>, Revolver<\/i>, Magnet<\/i>, Decibel, CMJ<\/i> and many more. At present Mastodon<\/b> has remained on the CMJ Loud Rock <\/b>charts for the 26th<\/sup><\/span> week in a row. When OMRTS<\/i><\/b> <\/i>was placed No. 8 on Rolling Stone<\/i><\/b>\u2019s \u201cTop 20 Metal Albums of 2014\u201d<\/b> list, they summed up the success of the album stating, \u201cThe bold hooks and sharply defined riffs of Mastodon’s sixth studio full-length makes it easy to hear\u00a0this album as their evolution from prog-sludge wizards to straight-ahead hard rockers \u2014 but the reality is actually far more, er, complex\u2026 Ultimately, the best part of Sun is\u00a0Mastodon’s ability to make hooky and visceral music without sacrificing either their metallic muscle or their innate weirdness.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Clutch\u2019s Earth Rocker<\/i><\/b>\u00a0reached\u00a0#1\u00a0on the\u00a0Rock Chart\u00a0and\u00a0#4\u00a0on\u00a0iTunes’\u00a0overall\u00a0Top 100\u00a0album chart.\u00a0Earth Rocker\u00a0was awarded\u00a0\u201cAlbum of The Year\u201d\u00a0by\u00a0Metal Hammer<\/i>\u00a0and garnered a\u00a0Top 10\u00a0spot on\u00a0Rolling Stone\u2019s<\/i> \u201cTop 20 Metal Albums of the Year\u201d. Rolling Stone<\/i> further enthused:\u00a0 \u201cFour Maryland lifers \u2014 road dogs who’ve been grinding since the early Fugazi administration, cranking out \u00a0seething admixtures of jam-band chops, careening blues-punk riffs and singer Neil Fallon’s nerdy, piss-taking wiseass lyrics \u2014 release their hardest rocking set to date.
