{"id":35691,"date":"2012-11-30T14:35:11","date_gmt":"2012-11-30T19:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/juicemagazine.com\/home\/?p=35691"},"modified":"2012-12-07T22:37:00","modified_gmt":"2012-12-08T03:37:00","slug":"la-enhanced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juicemagazine.com\/home\/la-enhanced\/","title":{"rendered":"LA ENHANCED"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LA ENHANCED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>iZZi Gadgets will be\u00a0joining forces with Skateistan.org and the Stronghold Society for Phase 1 of the Connect the\u00a0Dots Project.\u00a0The Connect the Dots Project is the first-ever cultural exchange between the boys &amp; girls\u00a0students of the Skateistan skateboard school in Kabul, Afghanistan and Lakota Native American\u00a0boy and girl skaters from the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota in the United States.\u00a0The project includes coordinating and producing skate decks, products and various other cultural\u00a0products and art that can be exchanged in a peaceful attempt to bridge cultural and gender gaps\u00a0by utilizing something both groups have in common\u2026skateboarding. These are two of the most\u00a0impoverished groups with very little means that have found time and energy to help one another\u00a01\/2 a world away with what they have at their disposal.<\/p>\n<p>iZZi Gadgets and Skateistan.org will collaborate with a special event titled, \u201cLA Enhanced,\u201d on\u00a0December 1 at the Crewest Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles. The event will showcase\u00a0photography using iZZi Gadgets by artists, skaters and photographers including Arto Saari, Atiba\u00a0Jefferson, ManOne, Willie T and Yuri Hasegawa in conjunction with Skateistan and the\u00a0Stronghold Society.
