If you live in NYC you probably know all about the Blanks and their embodiment of the punk rock spirit. If not, let singer Mike Blank let you know what\u2019s on his mind.<\/p>\n

So you\u2019re at work? They don\u2019t care?<\/strong>
\nNo, its cool.<\/p>\n

What do you do?<\/strong>
\nI print shirts.<\/p>\n

Printing anything subversive? Subversive?<\/strong>
\nYeah. Scott\u2019s Barmitzvah!<\/p>\n

So what was the deal with the punk rock lesbian contest?<\/strong>
\nThat was this thing we did on the Internet. We were looking for girls to be on the record cover, so we got a bunch of pictures of girls fondling each other.<\/p>\n

That’s cool. So, who won?<\/strong>
\nThere were two winners.<\/p>\n

What did they do that made the cut?<\/strong>
\nWell, they were just real cute.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve got a new record and thanks to that big Radical budget, Daniel Rey produced it.<\/strong>
\nYeah, he actually asked us. I thought that was real cool \u2018cause I always liked the Ramones.<\/p>\n

And you\u2019re on the Exploited tribute record?<\/strong>
\nYeah, we did \u201cPunks not Dead\u201d. Have you heard it?<\/p>\n

Well… I wasn\u2019t that big an Exploited fan to begin with but I did have a copy of Troops Of Tomorrow.<\/strong>
\nYeah, well, that was my favorite Exploited record.<\/p>\n

So, what\u2019s the punkest thing you\u2019ve ever done?<\/strong>
\nOnce we rolled a joint with Bible paper That\u2019s pretty good. How about this? Our band all got scabies one time. We had this bus we were using and we found this couch and put it inside. Little did we know it was this ghetto couch and it was infested with scabies.<\/p>\n

Whoa, everybody got it?<\/strong>
\nEverybody, the band, our roadies, everyone we knew and everyone we had sex with!<\/p>\n

You were on tour spreading it?<\/strong>
\nYeah, all 50 states!\u00a0 No, I mean, just the lower 48.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re billed as NJ\u2019s favorite drunk punx. Name yer poison.<\/strong>
\nVodka, I like vodka and I like specials.<\/p>\n

The Specials?<\/strong>
\nYeah, well no \u2018That\u2019s on special? Okay, that\u2019s what I\u2019m having!\u2019<\/p>\n
