Tony Hawk’s Stand Up For Skateparks Benefit 2015

The Tony Hawk Foundation is returning to Beverly Hills for its 12th-Annual Tony Hawk’s Stand Up For Skateparks benefit on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Green Acres Estate. Tickets for this one-of-a-kind action-sports exhibition are on sale now HERE (http://standupforskateparks.org/tickets/). The event will feature a Vert Demo with Tony Hawk and other skateboarding icons riding Hawk’s personal ramp while legendary DJ Z-Trip creates their soundtrack, spinning live from the deck, along with a live performance by the Vandals.

Tony Hawk’s Stand Up For Skateparks benefit is a family-friendly action-sports carnival that includes games, food, and live and silent auctions with one-of-a-kind items and experiences, plus special-guest performances. Proceeds support the Tony Hawk Foundation’s mission to empower youth through the creation of free, quality, public skateparks in low-income communities throughout the U.S., and Internationally with programs that enrich the lives of youth through skateboarding.

“We are thrilled to be returning to Beverly Hills for the 12th annual Stand Up For Skateparks benefit,” said Tony Hawk. “This event has grown to become our biggest and most successful fundraising event, and I look forward to coming together with our amazing performers, athletes, and generous supporters to continue the foundation’s goal of bringing skateparks to the communities who need them most.”

This year’s event will be co-chaired by Tony Hawk and Eve and Maximillion Cooper. Benefit Committee members include Ron Burkle, Fred Durst, Jon Favreau, Stacey and Allen Gibson, Brian Austin Green, Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Mat Hoffman, Bobby Kotick, Tommy Lee, Howie Mandel, Rodney Mullen, Tony Norman, Lyn-Z and Travis Pastrana, Chris Sacca, Sultan AlSaud, Henry Stupp, Robert Trujillo, Lars Ulrich, Steve Van Doren, Lori and Bill Walton, and DJ Z-Trip.

Since launching in 2004, the annual Stand Up For Skateparks benefit has raised over $9.3-million dollars to benefit the Tony Hawk Foundation.

ABOUT THE TONY HAWK FOUNDATION

 A charitable, non-profit organization, the Tony Hawk Foundation was established in 2002 by its namesake, professional skateboarder Tony Hawk. THF promotes and provides technical assistance and funds for high-quality public skateparks in low-income areas throughout the United States that promote healthy, active lifestyles, and to International programs that enrich the lives of youth through skateboarding.

Domestically, the Foundation’s Skatepark Grant program has awarded over $5.4-million to 569 communities in all 50 states. The Foundation focuses on working with local officials and grassroots, community-based organizations that plan to hire designers and contractors with strong experience designing and building skateparks.
