MIKE WEED

Mike Weed R.I.P.

One of the Best Skateboarders ever… Guess what kids, seen a lot of them. This guy was Great. So sorry Mike Weed has passed away. Heavy…

I’m stuck… This is life… I can’t tell you why it happens, except it does. The least fun of what life is about, ending. I was fortunate enough to have skated with Mike Weed… He was a true pioneer, and really was one of the best … in most disciplines of the sport of Skateboarding… and was just as talented of a surfer… My heart is slowly pumping at the present moment…. It’s sometimes a lil too much… Good bye to a Badass cat….

Too to many to comprehend …

They’re all gone, but just in the physical being…. not in the memories…

    1. I HAD THE PLEASEURE OF KNOWING YOUR UNCLE WHEN HE WAS WORKING AT OAKLAND PARK SKATEBOARD PARK IN FT.LAUDERDALE. HE WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP THE YOUNG KIDS, WHICH I WAS THEN LEARN AND BE SAFE WHILE HAVING FUN. HE TOOK THE TIME TO HELP ME PUT MY SKATEBOARD TOGETHER, BACK THEN WE SPENT ABOUT $70, THATS LIKE $400 NOW. SAD TO HEAR THIS, BUT KNOW HE IS IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE NOW. THANKS

  4. Mike Weed mad all of us want the California dream. The cover of Skateboarder Mag. He was was more influential to the 12 to 15 year guys across the country then he ever imagined. Who didn’t dream that the Hobie sent Mike and Greg to ask you to join the team. Rip Mike. You were the only weed I needed.

  5. One of my all time favorite skateboards was the Hobie Mike Weed Radical Terrain with XX wheels. My older brother worked at Hobie in Costa Mesa back in the late 70’s and used to get me all the coolest Hobie gear. I was just searching the web for someone who might be parting with one and discovered this sad news.

R.I.P. after shreading up the Heavens Mike!
