Nestled in East Hollywood, Ranch N’ Roll and its superlative creator Libby Knudson, along with Stereo Skateboards mastermind, Chris “Dune” Pastras, and celebrated artist/musician extraordinaire, Tim Kerr, played host to a night filled with art and friends. What was deemed an art show quickly transformed into a proverbial old school speak-easy with talk story and amazingly talented strumming musicians keeping the vibe Western wild.
This was also a celebration of the re-release of the Big Boys vinyl Where’s My Towel/Industry Standard led by Patrick From Light In The Attic Records who was also in attendance.
The pieces on display were in a variety of mediums and styles and all were individually well-received by patrons and enthusiasts alike.
The attending cast of characters included Jeff Ament, Erika Christensen, Steve Olson, O, Yaniv Evan, Clint Peterson, London May, Naheed Simjee, Chad Muska, Jason Jessee, Jeff Ho, Cris Dawson, The Nuge, Rick Charnoski, Nilton Neves, Terri Craft, Ron Chatman. Kenny Anderson, Vern Laird and many more.
This was not your typical art show. This was a Tim Kerr show, which means it was all-inclusive and built on the founding principles of community. There were no strangers, rather new acquaintances and good friends celebrating one-of-a-kind works of art together.
For those not able to attend opening night, the show will be on display at Ranch n’ Roll for the next two months, so you may still purchase pieces that suit your fancy on location.
