When did you first hear of SurfSkate style?

When I was 10 years old in Santa Monica. I wanted to be a pro surfer. Skateboarding was natural for me at a young age, the feeling of sidewalk surfing. I turned pro when I was 16.

What does SurfSkate style mean to you?

Style is everything. It’s the only way I know.

Who has the best SurfSkate style?

Larry Bertlemann and Jay Adams.

How has surfing influenced skateboarding and how has skateboarding influenced surfing?

It’s a complete circle of progression. Both compliment one another. Cross training is ideal.

Is SurfSkate style important today?

Yes! It’s timeless.

Alva always brings the surfskate style that he established, from day one, with style and speed. Photo © Terrebonne
