The Real Gidget Story

This Saturday (9/13/2014) there will be a special screening of “Accidental Icon: The Real Gidget Story” which will be shown at the Coronado Performing Arts Center. The event takes place from 4pm to 6pm. For more info, go to www.TheRealGidget.eventbrite.com.

“Before Sandra Dee and Sally Field was Kathy Kohner – real-life inspiration for the fictional surfing neophyte ‘Gidget.’ A special Coronado screening of ‘Accidental Icon: The Real Gidget Story,’ will feature Kathy Kohner Zuckerman in attendance with filmmaker Brian Gillogly. Ticket price includes a Q&A session after the documentary, as well as a panel discussion including surf legend Mickey Munoz, Bill “Moondoggie” Jensen and actress Caryn Richman of the 1986-1988 sitcom ‘The New Gidget’.”
