The mixture between a hot night in Venice Beach, CA and several pieces of art from Venice local artists and photographers made the Sponto Lives opening party art show on Saturday, August 24th, an event to see. The show was celebrating the spirit of legendary artist/curator Mark “Sponto” Kornfeld who helped develop the artist and creative community within Venice at the West Cafe (7 Dudley Avenue in Venice) which was open from 1958 through 1966. The show ran from August 24th through September 7th at The Dudley Project located at 9 Dudley Avenue in Venice, CA. The artists and photographers included Vincent Digaetano, Mark X Farina, Gerry Fialka, Lisa Green, Dave Healey, Barbara Mastej, B. Meade, Margaret Molly, Ned Sloane, Dougo Smith and Andrea Wittenberg. For more info, go to www.laughtears.com.
