West L.A. Courthouse: Skateboarding is not a crime… anymore.

If you’re of the mind that companies with ridiculous amounts of money need to give back to skateboarding at the core level, then you will give props to Nike for putting a turquoise and dark blue feather in their cap and making the West L.A. Courthouse a legal spot to skate. Without getting into the ultimate irony of this situation, I will say this. For years, skateboarders have been arrested and ticketed for skating this place. Being able to throw down something for a video part here was only for the elite who could get in and get out as fast as possible to avoid getting busted, making it one of those holy grail type spots. Well, the good news is that it has been perfectly remade and now you can spend all day there working on your ledge and other manual tricks without any pressure or harassment. Have fun, kids.
