LONG BEACH SKATE TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WITH ART SHOW BY SQUEEZE ART COLLECTIVE
MAY 5, 2012, 11AM-7PM
Presented by Long Beach Skate Co in Long Beach, CA

Long Beach, CA – In celebration of the Two Year Anniversary of Long Beach Skate Co, Shop owners Tim Scanlan II and Carrie Scanlan will link up with the Squeeze Art Collective to throw their second art show of the year on May 5th, 2012 from 11am to 7pm.  This Art Show will display a multitude of local artists that will be showcasing their artistic ability by painting on skateboard decks.  All art will be displayed at the shop and will be available for purchase.  All those in attendance are encouraged to participate in an interactive chalk art wall. Tim Scanlan, Long Beach Skate Owner, says, “We wanted everyone of all ages to be involved in an interactive element of our art show.  We want people of all ages to add a little something to our chalk wall to commemorate our 2-year Anniversary”.  Long Beach Skate will also be releasing a new skateboard deck design this Saturday, and all who purchase the deck will receive a limited edition two year anniversary t-shirt.
LB SKATE is much more than a retail store, the shop prides themselves on their active role in the community and being a cultural hot spot since they opened two years ago.  Long Beach Skate strives to create a positive environment where everyone can share their experiences about skateboarding, music, and art cultures.  They are also very involved with organizing local events for non-profits and skateboarders.

Squeeeze, Long Beach Art Collective began with individuals sharing one thing in common, love. Love for creativity, love for community and love for Long Beach. Creating a motivating force within the Long Beach community to encourage others to follow their passions. Squeeze Art Collective consists of over 40 local artists, which support local charities and businesses. Our overall mission is to create a pathway for the creative minds in our community and uplift the youth of today and tomorrow. Squeeze it or leave it.
