Produced entirely by DJ Muggs, Kill Devil Hills features guest appearances from B-Real, Raekwon, Sean Price, Everlast, Slaine, Chace Infinite, O.C., Q-Unique, Vinnie Paz, Sick Jacken, and more. Throughout his distinguished career, Muggs has established a precedent for working hand in hand with artists and creating cohesive bodies of work, rather than spreading around beats from project to project. This rings true once again on Kill Devil Hills. I prefer getting in the lab and actually creating projects with people instead of just sending out beat CDs, explains Muggs. I’m a producer in the fullest extent, where I like to not only produce an album, but craft an album. Being able to start a record from the beginning and following through with it, making sure that all the songs complement each other. I’ve always come from making albums and producing my records; I’m still into that By going where instinct took them, Ill Bill and DJ Muggs collaborative union manifested into a sonically cohesive album. Ill Bill and DJ Muggs will be performing together as one of the headlining acts on this years Rock The Bells tour (myspace.com/rockthebells). REKORDS REKORDS NEWS – Founded by visionary Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures frontman Joshua Homme, Rekords Rekords remains a creative collective, first and foremost. Since 1997, the label has been a vehicle for Homme to release Desert Sessions and Eagles of Death Metal albums. Now there’s more music rising on Homme’s horizon than ever before. Through a unique partnership with Dangerbird, Rekords Rekords is truly coming to life in 2010, and rock ‘n’ roll may never be safe again. This isn’t a new venture for Homme. In fact, the label’s very birth was tied to that of Homme’s multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated Queens of the Stone Age. In 1997, through previous partner Man’s Ruin Records, Rekords Rekords released the first Queens of the Stone Age/Kyuss split. With the Dangerbird partnership firmly in place for North America, Homme plans on releasing new offerings from The Desert Sessions and Eagles of Death Metal as well as re-releasing Desert Sessions Vol. 1-10 as a box set.Dangerbird’s the perfect collaborator for all of this. Since 2004, the Silverlake indie label has been the home to crucial modern rock acts like Silversun Pickups, Minus the Bear and Sea Wolf. Homme continues, This is the time to focus on the consistency of your art. Rekords Rekords is really more of a stamp in the hopes to try to be like Wolfman Jack. People listened to Wolfman Jack because they liked his taste but he was playing all different kinds of music. I hope to develop a similar trust with fans of the music. If people like one of our releases, they’ll like the next one sight unseen. Music enthusiasts can trust the label especially with upcoming releases Homme and Rekords Rekords. He concludes, I’d simply like to make something really honest and hopefully that will set us apart from other labels. I don’t want to sell out Shea Stadium. I just want the people that are into the music to feel uplifted. I don’t think bigger is better. I just think better is better, and that’s fine. There’s nothing you can do to make people like your art. You just have to be honest and let her rip. rekordsrekords.com

ASTRODECK MISSION – ‘Like all surfboard designer / shapers, I had always experimented with the rails, bottoms, tails and fins of my boards until I really had a quiver for all the best breaks in every condition. I then started concentrating on the surface area where my feet made contact. It seemed that there had to be a product that would allow more control than the wax that had been used for the first 40 some years in surfing. In 1976, I started playing around with a polyurethane elastomer foam, synthetic rubber, that when the skin was lightly sanded off exposed an open cell that acted like miniature suction cups that gripped your feet. Wow, was I stoked, I had these great sheets with pressure sensitive tape that would cover the whole deck. The stoke was short lived, surfers didnt even want to give it a try. It was difficult to apply and they were used to using wax. I started cutting it in to small dots and checks in bright colors and it caught on as a punk fashion statement. As time went by I looked at it like the last part of my shaping job by adding kicks, arches, and different surface patterns for ultimate grip and control until the designs evolved into the patented multigridllock high performance foot pad of today.’ – Herbie Fletcher. astrodeck.com
