WORDS, PHOTOS AND VIDEO BY DAN LEVY
The Moose Lodge in Redondo Beach, California, is draped in musical history as it has played host to some of the most legendary punk shows in history. I was honored to be invited to yet another one-of-a-kind night in the place where the infamous band Black Flag cut their teeth. Chuck Dukowski phoned me and said, “I thought you might want to come and check out a show. We’re playing at the Moose Lodge in Redondo Beach. It should be fun and I think you’ll enjoy it.” Let me just clarify that Chuck profoundly understands that less is more and being understated is an art form that he is a master of. In other words, while in my head I was doing backflips, he was casually throwing bullseyes on a dartboard blindfolded.
