CORROSION OF CONFORMITY will be touring in support of their IX full-length, released this past summer via Candlelight Records. Captured by the band alongside long-time friend and colleague John Custer, writing for IX commenced in the early months of 2013 with demoing and recording starting by Summer’s end. Completed in January, IX clocks in at nearly forty-five minutes. Sludge, doom, punk… it’s all in the grooves that fans have come to expect from CORROSION OF CONFORMITY.

Two years ago, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY released to much acclaim their first album in over five years.  “Corrosion of Conformity isn’t a comeback album or an example of diminishing returns,” noted Invisible Oranges. “It’s a testament to immense talent and the elusive endowment of staying power.” With IX, over three decades of playing together clearly shows; a notable comfort and ease glows on each of the album’s songs. It is without doubt, Dean, guitarist Woodroe Weatherman, and drummer Reed Mullin have revitalized their sonic muse. “CORROSION OF CONFORMITY displays a command of style far beyond anything their 1985 selves could have imagined,” noted Decibel Magazine on review of 2012’s self-titled album.  Pitchfork said, “the trio sounds as commanding as it ever has.” “CORROSION OF CONFORMITY are very much firing on all cylinders,” adds Terrorizer.
