CORNFEST 2005
OCT 15, 2005
OBX
The Outer Banks of North Carolina has one of the best scenes on Earth. The people are kind and the surf is insane. The skateboarding is unbelievable with permission pools, concrete parks and the ultimate wooden bowl, the Chief, is skater’s paradise. Come here with complete respect and you’ll get hospitality in return. Parties are full on and everyone has a great time.

COROLLA SKATEPARK
We had to stop by and ride the new park up in Corolla, NC. Science and the boys built ‘er nice and smooth with lots of lines. The skatepark is all concrete, dual bowls, a mini ramp spine and a street course. It’s a fine example of a good 5000 sq foot park with terrain that everyone can get down on. The park is open through November Monday – Friday 2pm until dark, Saturday – Sunday 10am until dark . For the month of December it will be closed except for the 27th – Jan 2nd (closed New Years Day). The park will be closed until the first week in March 2006. There are daily and weekly rates as well as discounted rates for locals. Call 252-453-2440 for information. The Corolla Light Town Center in located directly across the street from the Whalehead Club and the Currituck Lighthouse. www.oar-nc.com
