The “CONS Project: “Making & Designing Skate Decks” workshop at The Market Skatepark in Beverly, MA, on April 11, 2015, was incredible. Seeing so many kids engaged in creating skateboards with Professor Paul Schmitt, Dougie Death and the rest of the Converse crew, gave me hope that not all kids are staring at their phones all day. Such positivity & good vibes all around. Kids drew their own shapes, cut them out and painted whatever graphics came to mind. Antihero artist, Todd Francis, talked to all the kids and answered any questions they had. Thanks to the Market Skatepark, Orchard Skate Shop, Todd Francis, Colonial Ramp Technologies and Converse for a incredible day. For a night cap, Professor Schmitt hopped in the van with us and we hit a concrete bowl in the woods near by. Skateboarding rules.
