Burger Boogaloo

As if the best party this Independence Day weekend wasn’t good enough, Burger Boogaloo 2015 has added some absolutely dynamite to the already stacked bevy of fireworks slated to go off on July 4th and 5th at Oakland, CA’s Mosswood Park Amphitheater. The Boogaloo is overjoyed to welcome back the legendary Jonathan Richman to the lineup. It’s likely that many of the bands performing at this year’s festival wouldn’t have been born if it weren’t for the trail-blazing Modern Lovers frontman and musical poet. Joining him are returning heavy-hitters Fuzz, who absolutely demolished the Boogaloo in 2013 and have decided to finish what they started. Also, joining the bill are noise rock heroes The Zulus and psychobilly pioneer Legendary Stardust Cowboy! Tickets are only $59 for a 2-day General Admission Pass, but this price won’t be around for long, so grab them while you can. You can also grip a VIP pass, which included a T-shirt, tote bag, and cassette tape, for $89, or single day tickets for $39.

Also, if you think the fun ends when the park closes, you are wrong and should immediately turn to the person sitting next to you and apologize for how wrong you just were. There’s a plethora of parties coming at you, both pre- and post-fest, including a special appearance by the Almighty Defenders (members of King Khan & BBQ Show and Black Lips!). Check out the list below, and see details here.
