Built to Spill New Album and Tour

BUILT TO SPILL TO RELEASE NEW STUDIO ALBUM, UNTETHERED MOON, DIGITALLY AND ON CD AND VINYL IN APRIL

Untethered Moon is the first BTS album recorded with new band members Steve Gere (drums) and Jason Albertini (bass), who join vocalist/guitarist Doug Martsch and guitarists Brett Netson and Jim Roth. BTS have also confirmed tour dates which include this year’s Coachella Arts And Music Festival in Indio, CA.  Please see below for all confirmed tour dates.

Untethered Moon was produced by Martsch and Sam Coomes. One half of Quasi, Coomes is also a session musician who has performed on albums by Sleater-Kinney and Elliot Smith, and has appeared on every Built To Spill album after the band’s 1997 major-label debut Perfect From Now On.

Built to Spill released its most recent album There Is No Enemy in October 2009. It was the band’s first album since 2006’s You In Reverse. Previous studio albums include 2001’s Ancient Melodies of the Future, 1999’s Keep It Like A Secret and Perfect From Now On. In 2015, Built to Spill remains an influential concern in compositionally intelligent, lyrically thoughtful, melodic, guitar-centric rock music.
