BLACK SABBATH REWORK 2012 TOUR

Black Sabbath, easily billed as one of the best bands of all time, has announced some adjustments to their 2012 tour announced later last year. After following the progress of guitarist Tony Iommi’s battle with lymphoma the group has decided to “put some plans on hold” according to the announcement released on their website.

However, the much anticipated album from the band will break the 33 year silence on Sunday June 10, 2012 at the UK Download Festival. This will be the only date the band is performing together.

In order to make it up to fans, Ozzy Osbourne will be headlining the remainder of the previously announced dates with Ozzy and Friends. He will be joined by special guests including Geezer Butler and former Ozzy band member Zakk Wylde. Slash will also make appearances at select shows. More guests to be announced.

We’ll continue to check the progress of Tony Iommi. According to the Official Sabbath Website he’s making progress and looking forward to getting back on the road and playing shows.
