The Asphalt Yacht Club crew threw it down Malibu-style with an ingenious launch party at the Malibu Inn featuring French Montana and a long list of VIP attendees and fun for all. There were many recognizable Asphalt heroes as well as seasoned Yacht Club veterans in attendance. It just made sense.

Asphalt Yacht Club Presents the Launch of their Apparel Line at The Malibu Inn

Asphalt Yacht Club Founder Stevie Williams and their skate team launch their Fall 2013 Collection alongside event hosts Stefan Janoski, Nyjah Huston, Riley Hawk, Justin “Figgy” Figueroa, Derrick Wilson, Ben Nordberg, Blake Carpenter, and more. Complemented by a stellar U.K. roots reggae performance by French Montana.

ASPHALT YACHT CLUB CREW:

STEVIE WILLIAMS: A professional street skateboarder and was included in the twenty-seventh position of the “30 most influential skaters of all time” list that was compiled by Transworld Skateboarding in late-2011. Raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-Williams started skateboarding at the age of eleven. It was during the period when Williams began skateboarding that the term “dirty ghetto kids” first emerged, as the title was applied to Williams and his friends. At the age of fourteen, Williams left Philadelphia to hitchhike to California. Williams is currently sponsored by DGK, Supra, G-Shock, 9five Eyeware, Gold, Grizzly Griptape, Venture, Diamond Supply Co, Beats by Dre, Bones Bearings and Asphalt Yacht Club. Williams is one of the most prominent professional skaters in the skate industry.

NYJAH HUSTON: Born in Davis, California and raised in San Lorenzo, Nyjah Huston- A professional street skateboarder and overall champion of the Street League Skateboarding competition series in August 2012. Nyjah Huston was raised by his father in Puerto Rico under a strict Rastafarian upbringing, Huston understands hard work and dedication. This past May, in Spain, Barcelona, Huston won a medal at the 2013 X Games Street League contest, along with winning an ESPY award for Best Male Action Sports Athlete. Transworld Skateboarding Magazine announced that no other skateboarder has won a great amount of prize money than Nyjah.

STEFAN JANOSKI: A professional skateboarder, artist, writer and musician who is well known for his signature Nike SB shoe model the “Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski”. Among followers of the professional skateboarding Janoski is known for his “switch-stance” skills and casual style.

JUSTIN “FIGGY” FIGUEROA:

Justin “Figgy Figueroa was at the top of Thrasher Magazine’s 2012 Skater of the year. Figgy has been a skate success for the past few years with an outstanding role in the “Bake and Destroy” video. Figgy is a skate legend and pro in the industry, he has been featured in many publications and continues to hold true to his talent and workings.
