All Around Challenge

Check out the All Around Challenge on Saturday, May 10th through 11th at 9am in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tony Alva will crown the World’s Best Overall Skateboarder at this event!

Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA: The TimeShip Skate School is proud to announce that Tony Alva will be presenting the awards at the All Around Challenge May 10-11 in Albuquerque, NM. This 2 day event will challenge riders in Street, Bowls, Slalom and Boardercross to determine the “World’s Best Overall Skateboarder”. Teams and Brands will duke it out for the Individual Male, Female and Team Overall Titles. Tony was crowned the last Overall World Champion in 1978, Skate School feels it’s time to once again test the talents of the next generation of rippers and Albuquerque is the place to do it!

The main venue is in the Downtown / University area on a hill that is about 1/5 mile long, has good pavement and some natural shade. This is where the Slalom, Street and Boardercross will take place. The Plaza Inn Hotel is at the bottom of the hill and will be the event headquarters to ease logistics and minimize driving. They are offering a group rate of $49 per night so you can literally skate back to your room if you need to snack or rest. Los Altos Skate Park is nearby with 35,000 sq ft. of concrete including a large street flow area, banks and deep bowls. This is where the Bowl competition will take place Saturday night.

The Boardercross on Sunday afternoon will include an Open Class for riders that are not able to compete in the All Around Challenge due to lack of skills.
All Around Challenge entry fee is $125
Boardercross only entry fee is $50
