Let me start off by saying that this was one of the best skateboard weekends I’ve had in a long time. Kevin from Nike e-mailed an invitation to the Zoom Tre shoe test where the lucky few get to try out a new Nike shoe before it’s launched and give feedback on them as well. The red carpet treatment thrown down by Nike was second to none. The attendees included the skateboarding media and retailer elite along with many of the Nike SB team riders. We were all given 5-star accomodations and a rare opportunity to interact with skateboarders from all over the country in a low stress setting making the vibe something we all strive to generate. There was nothing but good sessions at the Dept. of Skateboarding as well as Nike’s new and improved training facility. The Zoom Tre’s rode like they were worn in straight out of the box. In my opinion, the board feel you got from them was right on target and the comfort-level of the shoe is top-shelf. If there was a standard to be set on how a skateboarding weekend should go amongst those who are privileged to work in the crazy skateboarding industry, Nike has officially set the bar. A special thanks goes out to Kevin, James, Sandy and the entire crew at NIke SB for their hospitality and support of core skateboarding.
